Paul viewed Timothy as his true child in the faith. Timothy undoubtedly saw the apostle Paul as a father figure in his life.
As a mentor to Timothy, Paul started his letter by demonstrating the need to submit to God’s authority and exalt God.
Let’s consider 1 Timothy 1:1-2 together and consider what we preachers can learn from these two passages.
