I pray 2022 was a good year for you, but I know some of you had various struggles in your local work this year.
Some of you had health difficulties. Some of you may have moved from one congregation to another. Some of you may be dealing with problems within the local congregation. You may have even had a death in your family.
Whatever challenges you may have faced, I hope you remember that you are doing good work for the Lord. Your work matters in the Lord.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Lord willing, if time continues, we will have new opportunities to reach lost souls with the gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16). Souls who have wandered away from the fold will have opportunities to return to the fold of the Chief Shepherd.
Let us look forward to the new year as the Lord allows and see the opportunities that lie before us. The fields truly “are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35).
As we close the calendar for 2022 and plan for 2023, remember that the Lord is with you in your local work (Matthew 28:18-20). Keep your hand to the plow and keep working for the Master - no matter your role.
Keep up the excellent work, brothers!
