Substack can make your work as a gospel preacher so much simpler.
I’ve been writing pretty much every day using Substack for over a year now.
is where I publish all my articles. Substack is free to use, by the way.I want to share with you everything I’ve learned about Substack so that you can use it in your local work for the Lord.
Substack is a blog and a newsletter.
When you publish an article on Substack, it publishes it online like a blog. You also have the option to send the article to everyone who has subscribed to your mailing list.
So Substack combines a blog and a newsletter. By encouraging members to sign up, they can receive everything you publish.
How could you use Substack in your local work?
Publish your weekly bulletin articles.
Send out announcements during the week.
Send out class notes and sermon notes each week.
Substack includes podcast hosting.
Substack allows you to host and publish your own podcast.
Your podcast episodes can also be sent out to anyone who has subscribed to your email list.
How could you use Subtack’s podcast hosting in your local work?
By creating a weekly podcast.
By uploading the audio of Bible classes and sermons.
By uploading an audio recording of the week’s announcements.
Substack includes sending videos.
You can upload previously recorded video files to send to your subscribers.
You could also record a live video using Substack and then send it out to your subscribers. I don’t believe it’s possible to live stream videos just yet using Substack.
How could you use Substack’s video features in your local work?
Upload the video recordings of the church’s assemblies from Sunday and Wednesday.
Upload videos designed specifically for the congregation - like news, announcements, or devotionals.
Substack offers many options and has a lot of uses for preachers in their local work.
You could create your own personal Substack, or you could create a Substack for the local congregation where you serve.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions! I’ll do what I can to answer.
